As we know, a season is one of the four main periods in a year which are fall, winter, spring and summer. The seasons are caused by the revolution of earth around the sun and the tilt of earth’s axis. Revolution is the movement of the earth around the sun and axis tilt is when the earth rotates around an axis that is tilted. The shape of the earth’s orbit is an ellipse, which means oval. So, when we talk about seasons, we talk about direct and indirect sunlight. Direct sunlight is when the sun’s rays hit the earth directly (at an extreme angle). In this case it’s summer. Indirect sunlight is when the sun’s rays hit the earth at an angle (directly) and this is winter. The Northern hemisphere and the Southern hemisphere, the line that divides the earth is called equator. It’s always summer in the equator because it always receives direct sunlight. During spring and fall, the northern hemisphere and Southern hemisphere receive the same amount of light. Earth’s revolution and rotation are what cause our beautiful seasons.
Critical thinking questions
The moon’s movement affects
Earth in many ways such as tides, day and night light levels as it orbits the planet.
As Earth rotates, its axis tilts about 23.5 degrees, which causes the season. It
is really important for us that earth revolves around the sun because it causes
seasons and day and night!

-Is there anything that you could have done to
improve any of your work? Explain.
If there was one thing to change is to re-write my quiz because I would like it to be more challenging and a little tricky.
